Expert Support for Strategic Sourcing, RfP Execution, and Provider Integration Across Critical IT and Telecom Services
Challenge
In highly regulated and complex IT environments, organizations must ensure that selected service providers not only meet technical and commercial criteria but also align with long-term operational expectations. This includes clear service integration, readiness for scaling, support for internal governance structures, and the ability to deliver consistent performance post-contract. From global infrastructure consolidation to cloud and telecom procurement, clients required structured RfP processes, end-to-end support, and expert guidance to ensure that operational demands were met from day one.
Our Approach
We provided expert support across multiple sourcing and RfP initiatives, always with a strong focus on future operational feasibility and sustainability. In a global data center consolidation involving 140 sites worldwide, we supported the PMO and led key workstreams including governance and Transition & Transformation (T&T). Our work included project planning, budget management, and international coordination of due diligence teams. We analyzed provider submissions for technical completeness, cost efficiency, and operational fit, advised during contract negotiations, and prepared management decision materials.
In software sourcing projects (e.g. GIS systems, rating engines, infrastructure monitoring), we supported requirement definition and provider evaluation. All assessments included a clear view on operational aspects such as integration into existing environments, support models, and long-term service maintainability. We collaborated with procurement and business stakeholders and prepared final recommendations for management approval.
We also acted as experts during the sourcing and implementation of a cloud-based contact center solution. We prepared technical and commercial RFPs, advised on internal IT security assessments, and contributed to the documentation of service agreements and internal responsibilities. Beyond selection, we provided consulting for the operational setup, defined handover processes to service operations, and supported tool integration. Onboarding of multiple business entities was enabled through localized business case development, alignment on service-level expectations, and coordination of rollout activities—all aligned with long-term operational stability.
In addition, we supported several RfPs for regional telecom carriers, ensuring that the providers not only fulfilled technical and commercial requirements, but were also equipped to support the client’s operational environments across diverse geographical and regulatory contexts.
Results & Impact
Through our structured and cross-functional sourcing approach, clients were able to make transparent, sustainable, and well-aligned provider decisions. Operational expectations were addressed from the outset, resulting in faster service readiness, reduced friction during onboarding, and improved long-term service performance. Our support ensured regulatory compliance, reduced implementation risk, and enhanced operational efficiency across IT domains.
